In Melbourne there is a revitalization of a live music scene with new emerging independent artists who have taken the time and commitment to write, record and share their art.. We are flocking to see good bands with exciting new music. The Chards are one of these bands. From the rollicking 'Fingers Do The Walking' to the haunting 'Twilight of the night', songwriter/musician Paul Irving has put together a CD of songs with riffs, hooks and harmonies, and some great story telling. Did I mention 'Twilight Of The Night'? This song about war grabs you in the first 10 seconds and has received more positive comments than any other song I've played on radio. You can hear it, smell it, and on top of that, the song is brilliant with a prog rock 'Pink Floyd' flavour. I'm looking forward to seeing The Chards when they come to Melbourne, and I suggest you grab a copy of the CD 'Ride On' as soon as possible.
